The 2 Seat GR-912 Tail Wheel LightWing

ALW SPORT 2000 & GR-912 Specifications (view/dowload .pdf)

In both the tailwheel version (the GR-912) and the nose-wheel version, the ALW SPORT 2000 is a super user friendly high wing monoplane. Construction consists of a riveted alloy wing partly covered with aircraft fabric (part alloy) combined with a welded light weight steel fuselage also part composite, part fabric covered. The welded steel fuselage provides a high degree of protection in the event of an accident while the slow stall speed (35 kts) reduces momentum adding to safety.

Economical Cruise Speed is 75 kts for both aircraft and a maximum cruise speed is 85 kts.

Range is a little over 3 hours with 2 wing mounted fuel tanks of 30 l each. Both the SPORT 2000 and the GR-912 are designed to meet some of the highest standards in the world,

Peter says the use of the LightWing on his 100,000 his property at Bourke (pictured left), halved the wear on his 4WD and also cut to 1/4 the time taken to find and move stock.

Peter's back gate was a 3 hour drive in his Toyota (oh what a feeling) or a 20 minute flight in the LightWing (oh what a better feeling !)

GR 582 Amphibious LightWing - 2 Seats High Wing

The Amphibious LightWing is an aircraft with retractable wheels fitted inside the floats.

GR 582 Float Plane - 2 Seat.

The Float plane features floats only - no retractable wheels.

The small vertical helicopter style dash and added forward windows were added to the Australian LightWing to provide extra forward visibility for aerial inspection. We call it the 'Heliview' Cockpit.

Floats and Amphibious floats are available for LSA approved aircraft and we can custom design your own unique color scheme and add a personalized name to your aircraft. Ask for a color chart when placing your order.

Also, nose wheel floats are available with our new Quad Tunnel design.

Insurance for our aircraft is not a problem and can be obtained in Australia through Chamberlains or the Aviation Underwriting Pool for as little as $1,500 P/A - Ask Howie for a quote.

Premium funding insurance makes it easier as the annual premium can be paid in monthly installments.

The Australian LightWing PR BREEZE Kit The Australian LightWing PR Specifications (view/download .pdf)

From Spinner to tail wheel, every component has been designed with safety, economy and high speed construction in mind. The welded steel pilot protection cage has made The Australian LightWing the safest in it's class. The cabin layout provides excellent all-round visibility and weather protection.

The PR Breeze is an open aircraft, for the pilot that likes the feel of the wind in his or her hair. it can be built as a one or two seater with a build time of less than 300 hours. Its apprearance is the same as the aircraft shown above however, the aircraft has no rear fuselage covering.

The wing construction features a unique and massive 4" diameter high tensile aluminum tubular main spar, fiberglass ribs slide on to self align. This ingenious system enables the wing kit to be framed up in a day. The Rotax 912 is the optional power plant, adding extra reliability and fuel economy.

Kit or super advanced kit prices on application.

Factory builder assistance available.

A range of engines can be fitted to this aircraft including auto conversions such as the 2-cyl Mazda rotary ranges; also, we anticipate that Air Gyros 2 cyl turbo rotary engine will suit the airframe well when these engines become available. The airframe is planned to be very flexible with the ability to produce the aircraft as a single turbine engine with either high or low wing configuration.

Haven't you always wanted to make yourself a cuppa or just get up and stretch your legs whilst you are flying? well now you can, the SP-6000 fuselage is 1.5m in diameter. With 4 seats, a small galley with a food warmer can be fitted in the rear left of the cabin and a toilet on the right, the SP-6000 will have 1000 nm range so this will be a valuable feature on long trips.

Pressurized? .... Perhaps in the future, till then carry oxygen at altitude. With 2 Rotax engines, 4 seats will be an option and with 200 hp available at 15,000 ft with the 914 engine an acceptable cruise and range will be achieved, the Rotax powered version will be built a little lighter than the same airframe carrying 2 x 200 hp engines.
